We take great pleasure in bringing to your attention a new anthology of Australian verse written by Kevin Densley, Orpheus in the Undershirt, published by Ginninderra Press. Earlier this month, Richard Cotter suggested in the Sydney Arts Guide that this collection is “made up of morsels of the mundane and the marvellous,” that take “an unabashed delight in the low brow.” We have been privileged enough to receive a copy from the publisher for review, and will be giving it the full treatment in our 2018 number. In the meantime, Orpheus in the Undershirt is available either directly from the Ginninderra Press website, or from your local independent bookseller.
This is also a fine time for a reminder that book reviews of no more than 1000 words are welcome, and may be submitted to us by emailing them to submissions@sudojournal.com. We also accept books for review, and enquiries may be directed to contact@sudojournal.com.
